Merr-Wii Christmas and Yuri Holidays to all!
Ah, so the year comes to a close. And just like a last-minute shopper dashing to the mall, I come here to make a final post. It's been a year of international headlines- not only did Iraq not have any weapons of mass destruction, they didn't have any yuri either. Bummer.
On a more local and personal level, I picked up lots of anime, most of which I haven't watched. I'm going to put that on my New Year's Resolution List -right between the "blog more" and "have painful dental work done" resolutions. We'll see which one of those comes true!
Those who found my site despite my apparent neglect made these three AMV's tops for the month of November: Protect Me took the number one spot (I'm sure Kurau would be proud.) Swept Away floated into second place, and the "We like Shiori " club must have convened and that's why Beautifully Broken came in third.
Okay, so I made yet another Marimite AMV. But officer, I couldn't help it! I was mugged by the OVA! And even though I didn't like the overall animation as much (I kept having flashbacks to the Stick Figure Theatre from MTV), it did redeem itself by the sheer amount of Yumi and Sachiko airtime. I'd had the song on tap for a while, wanting to make an AMV with it, and I hope you're not too overwhelmed with Marimititis to enjoy it!
On a non-yuri note, I must confess, I love my new Wii system and have spent time that I shouldn't be spending, playing on the darn thing. Daily. Relentlessly. Obsessively. I think you get the picture. And Dr. Phil gave these addicting things away to people- it was like passing out crack to his audience! They will be so busy playing, they will never watch his show again! DUUUH!
I think we could just end all wars by dropping Wii's and extension cords into the areas of unrest- within twenty minutes, Wii-motes will be flying about, knocking out terrorists left and right!
Back to yuri, as I feel I will not be getting a call to join the Chief of Staff at the White House... I promised a little Noir Christmas ditty. Since I lured you in and don't want to be sued for some "bait and switch" tactic, here it is:
Happy Holidays and may your stockings (and underwear) be stuffed with yuri!

Twas the Noir before Christmas, and all through the flat
Were scattered shell casings and Santa out on a mat
Boots and stockings were slung all over a chair
But poor Saint Nick seemed to be fighting for air
The smell of gunsmoke wafted over the bed
While Mireille sat there, shaking her head
Kirika in her sweatshirt, Mireille with a cap
Mireille looked at Santa and muttered “Oh crap.”
Happy Holidays and may your stockings (and underwear) be stuffed with yuri!

haha great entry, really made me laugh :D
I´ve also updated my yuri collection with Revolutionary girl Utena (which I should´ve seen ages ago but I was naive back then). Anyway glad to see an update from ya, and a merry Wii-mas to you too :D (I´ll get my Wii on xmas eve...can´t wait)

Ah another Wii-ism, for the 3rd month in a row, how droll. I think I solved the Yurwiimote problem. How about you grab up some cuteness Yuri with the Wiimote and Nunchuck, playing Wii-boxing, listening to J-Pop and dancing around? I don’t know about you but that makes my life complete, nothing better than dancing around to J-Pop and beating virtual butt on the Wii. Hmm…is that as bad as admitting to playing Dance Dance Revolution on the Xbox? If you don’t already have cute yuri laying around your house then I make a Christmas suggestion to go find one. In fact ask Santa, who is conveniently laid out by Mireille and Kirika.
Your AMVs are right up on the list of must sees this holiday season. The song for Someone like Yumi is on repeat in my head, I need to dl that and the OVA, which makes me a sad celt because it’s not out as fansub yet. I sincerely hope you find the time after the holidays to make that AMV you mentioned, as well as write some. I need something good to read. Ah well, maybe next year you will find the time. :-)I'm also waiting on those Japan pics you mentioned, and I don't mean of the BRs. LoL.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! As always Thank You, your creativity is much appreciated.

Meri Kurisumasu, bakablonde!
Gosh, it's been ages since I last checked your website, I'll have to go and take a look at those new AMVs you've uploaded. :)
About the Wii —I don't own one myself, but I understand it is, indeed, awfully addictive. A friend of mine spent a whole night playing Zelda instead of studying for our exams… didn't seem to be doing worse than anyone else though. :D I'm supposed to go over to her place in January to try the darn thing myself, no need to say I'm looking forward to it!
Anyway, hope you have a great Christmas holiday, and looking forward to reading and seeing more from you!
Cheers,
M.
Well I'm terribly late responding to these posts, but I did want you to know that I DO read them... and yes the Wii is horribly addictive, I guess another few months or so we will wind up with self-help groups called "Wiinonimous Wiicovery" lol.
Thanks for the replies and Happwii new year!
