3-28-08: A Spring blog cleaning!

Time to shake out and dust off the old blog! Spring is here and yuri is near with the latest updates on the site. It's been forever, so let's see what has transpired:

Aquisitions: DVD 1 of Strawberry Panic (still unwatched), and the first two DVD's for Simoun (almost done watching). I also watched the latest Appleseed movie and wow did they turn Deunan into a girl. Since when did she so often need to be saved? I know it was part of the plot but it was painful to watch. Hitomi made some cameos for specific plot points but she was just a walk-on for a few minutes here and there. The action scenes had all been done before. I did watch the whole thing but I'm not inclined to buy it in the least. The other movie was so much better- Deunan really kicked butt, the action and animation totally outdid this last movie. Meh.

The latest AMV was truly a "quickie" in that it was made in a day and tweaked the next day as I saw a few glitches, then re-loaded back onto the site. I don't know how popular Murder Princess was but it really wasn't a bad anime. Bee Train sure has a thing for deadly young women lol. At any rate I just did a little twisting for a better yuri story out of it.

I always write about what the top AMV's are on the site, but what about the top items in the Gallery? So for something different, let's see what people are peeking at: Shinobuden ninjas herself into first place, Chirality half-nakedly powers into second, and good old Kannazuki (minus the mecha) takes third.

On a personal note, tomorrow the real estate agent comes to list our Baltimore house on the market. It will be a relief to be down to one house and get moved for good, which means I will once again have more time for the site and in general just be a lot happier!

Back to the business at hand, and what people really read this blog for: the latest wtf? phrases that cause people to wander onto the site. We have some real winners this time, so hold onto your yuri hats (or helmets, whichever).

Learn to kiss- well, I've got plenty of pictures on the site for reference. Other than that, you're on your own!
Fanfiction weightlifting- is that some sort of contest? "Hey, I just wrote a 45 ton emo fic! Ha!"
I have a niece who patterns her life choices after mine and it is very annoying- what, do I look like a therapist? Ok, since she does everything you do, here's how you solve the problem: climb up on a tall building and jump- problem solved!
Midget sex movies- woah, speaking of needing therapy.....

1-1-08: Starting off the new year with a BLOG

I could lie and hereby state that my New Year's resolution is to blog more, or openly admit that my blogging attempts match my attempts at sudoku... meager at best!

At any rate, happy new year everyone and many happy yuri returns! I've not had much time for my hobby lately, so additions have been few. I got the last volume of Read or Dream and was finally rewarded with a Michelle/Maggie kiss which I'll scan later. I also got the first 4 DVD's of Kurau for Christmas (thanks to my sneaky wifey!) as well as the collector box.

It's been a hectic few months and it's going to stay that way for a while- I'll try to make more time for another update soon as I would like to write more Eclipse before I forget how it ends myself, lol.

As for the latest AMV, I had wanted to include the yuri bits from Ikki Tousen in an AMV for a while, but it would have to be one that had fighting/action in it, and I knew I didn't have enough footage to warrant an entire AMV on the series. Nor exactly does the series deserve that kind of attention- if you want a better "panty-shot-show" then go watch Najica. Anyway, when I heard the song, I knew that the determination of Chikane would suit it so she got the other lead part. Why not toss in Jo from Bakuten since she kicks butt? Because she never had a conflict with what she did. She was a fighting machine from the start. So she'll have to wait her turn until the next "lesbian action AMV"! :)

During the last few months, people have continued to use all sorts of phrases that landed them on my site. Using these odd fragments of the the human mind, one must conclude that quite a few people did not get laid over the holidays, based on their searches below:

9-7-07: Return of the Blog

I thought I could get out of blogging by going into the hospital but as luck would have it, I got better and they discharged me. Just as well, as I've got my Yurisai AMV panel going on at the end of the month and have to get something together for my one hour presentation. I thought perhaps a small tupperware party, followed by a yuri picnic, might be in order. Or I could actually stick to the topic at hand, we shall see!

As for recent acquisitions, I got the 2nd Kashimashi manga, and the last two volumes of Read Or Dream (that would be 3 and 4). Have to say I enjoyed the anime far more than the manga, except Michelle does FINALLY kiss Maggie in volume 4. About time!
I've also got book volumes 2 and 4 of Chirality on the way- I gave up on ever trying to find the individual issues again. At least now I can read the ending (and if it's a good one, scan it for everyone else!) Therefore next month may include more Chirality scans, cross your fingers!

So, what was popular in the AMV section last month? No surprise that girls catfighting in Yuri Tears was number one; it was quite a surprise that My Hime rose from the dead and zombie-walked over Pianobuden into a solid second place. Can nothing douse the unrequited flames of Shizuru/Natsuki?

I just realized I haven't said anything wonderful about the Wii lately, but I will say that the local library carries Wii games and lends them out for free. FREE. And people say there's no heaven on earth! That being said, stay away from Chicken Shoot. More like Chicken Shit, so spare yourself. SSX Blur was fun, and the new Harry Potter isn't bad either. Marble Mania is great for people who like to roll cute things around. It's actually much better than Super Monkey Ball (my monkey cries a lot, lol). So check out your library, they may be holding out on you!

Speaking of things that make monkeys cry, or at the very least scratch their heads, I now give you the strange searches that somehow landed people on this little yuri island.

Otaku Summer 7-21-07

In hopes I would be fired from the job of blogging, I slacked. It appears to have been in vain as all 3 of the people who read it have protested so here I am again, just in time for Otakon! Yes, Otaku Summer is alive and well here in the simmering city of Baltimore. I've been at work these last two days, but since I work directly across from the Convention Center, I have seen the freak parades daily and listened as my fellow co-workers try to make sense of what they were seeing. "Is that some sort of...Star Trek thing?" lol
I'm off tomorrow and will be doing my annual tour and photo shoot, so stay tuned for pictures and more snarky, totally uncalled-for comments!

In yuri news, the only new addition is My Hime volume 7, which completes the collection. But after visiting the dealer room at the con tomorrow, who knows what will make the list next month....

Reviewing the month of June, we come to this conclusion in the top 3 AMV department: Goofy yuri is a good thing as Pianobuden leads the pack. Swinging with style in second place is Kaleido Dream and the emo crowd is still enjoying Never Mine in third place.

And now for the moment you've all been waiting for, the winners of the Yuri Academy Awards- oh wait, this is the winners of the "Huh?" search awards that brought them to my site! I was going to ask Nana to present the awards this month but she's off being self-absorbed and Hachi was too busy mired in self-doubt to be bothered, so maybe next month. At any rate, the winners for June are:

6-4-07: June Jammin'

It's June. Which means summer, graduation, inflated gas prices, and standing in line behind people who could really use a shower. Speaking of things that stink, it's time for me to blog again as I missed last month. Therefore, without further unwashed pomp and circumstance, I will proceed.

First up, nothing much new in the yuri collection other than some Kashimashi manga. Of course there will be scans later! On the AMV side of things, I am working on an entry for Yurisai this year which I will post on my site as well. And I just ordered a 500 gig drive from Amazon because making all these AMV's eats more space than you can imagine!

Site-wise, I am still pondering (as I have for years) on putting up a forum, but I do have offers of help so it may yet happen. As for the most popular AMV's for the month of May, here goes: In the center ring is Kaleido Dream. Moping in the corner of melancholy is Never Mine, and celebrating out in the parking lot is the feel-good Yuri Holidays. I swear, that last one won't die- maybe I really should make a Yuri Picnic AMV!

Speaking of picnic, it's time to spread out the yuri blanket and see what oddities of search phrases made their way to the site. Enjoy the nonsensical feast!

Ah, Spring. When a young woman's thoughts turn to... well, you can read about that in my fanfics! ;)
As usual, my blogging coincides with the monthly release of the Wii console. It's there, then gone again. Except in my case, no one is lining up in anticipation, lol.

I am trying to make the gallery bigger, as it seems people really like to ogle the yuri scene. So if you have pics you want to contribute, feel free to send them to me.

I don't really have much in the way of new additions this month. I did finally get the latest Shinobuden manga, and as usual, found myself smiling at insanity of it all. There will be scans in a future update!

On the Wii front, I must say, The Godfather rocks. I never knew it was so much fun to virtually snap someone's neck. If any of you are under stress and feel the need to pummel and pillage, then I highly recommend this game.

Regarding the site, the top 3 AMV's this month are as follows:
Leading the circus parade is of course Kaleido Dreams. Still haven't watched it but at least now I'm interested! The fans of unrequited love put Never Mine into second place. The third place one is a puzzler- Yuri Holidays. Are people that desperate for festivity? Now that summer approaches, will I be asked to make Yuri Picnic? Or maybe Yuri Pool Party? Wait- I'll make a videogame and call it Grand Theft Yuri (goal: hijack all the panties in the city). Now that ought to keep people busy all summer!

3-11-07 March Madness!

No, it's not the madness of gas prices rising again, it's the madness that drives me to blog here with the same frequency of rain in the Gobi Desert. But I musn't disappoint my loyal readers (having you both mad at me at the same time would be terrible, lol.) Therefore, without further ado... I proceed.

Latest additions to the yuri collection: Volumes 2 and 3 of Ninja Nonsense. One more and I'll be done! Speaking of Shinobuden, volume 2 of the manga was due out last fall, then pushed back to January of this year, and still is nowhere in sight. I demand my ridiculous adventures of Shinobu and Kaede! Hurry up already!

The top 3 AMV's so far this month are: Never Mine (from Yami Bo, a series that was Never Good). The same people that procrastinate over taking down the Christmas decorations are still celebrating with Yuri Holidays in the number two spot. And the eternally hopeful Yumi/Sachiko fans march in third with Someone Like Yumi.

For those who wonder "Hey, what do people look at the most in the Gallery?" Well, now you can sleep at night, because I checked that out for you! This month, the most popular eyeball spots were Chirality, followed by Shinobuden, and the gun-totin' Bakuten Bordello rounded out the lot. I guess Meg's boobs (or maybe Joe's guns?) have more staying power than I thought!

2-15-07 It's been two years!

No, not since I got laid- it's been two years since I started the site back in January of 2005! It's amazing to me just how much my little "hobby page" has grown.
By the end of 2005, the site had 44,471 visitors (26,892 unique, for those that count such things) with 393 gigs of AMV's downloaded. In just the first 6 weeks of this year, the site had more traffic than all of 2005 combined. I'm still astounded by the amount of people that come by here, and I'd like to take the time to thank all of you for your support. I'm sorry I don't update more often, but I do promise that I will keep this site up and running for as long as there are people visiting!

Now, on to more (hopefully) interesting things:

Latest additions: Sort of lame here, only got volume six of My Hime. I'll admit it, I've been spending my money on Wii games, lol. I've even got Cooking Mama on reserve- can it get any more pathetic than that? Wait! Yes, it can- I admit publicly, here and now, that I fail at Zelda. Totally. I cannot, for the life of me, herd those damn sheep/goats/snarky critters into the barn at the beginning. The beginning. I am a Twilight Loser!

The most downloaded AMV's for January were: Yuri Holidays (no real suprise there), Someone like Yumi (just get married already dammit!), and Juri made a holiday appearance with Beautifully Broken.

Ah, so the year comes to a close. And just like a last-minute shopper dashing to the mall, I come here to make a final post. It's been a year of international headlines- not only did Iraq not have any weapons of mass destruction, they didn't have any yuri either. Bummer.

On a more local and personal level, I picked up lots of anime, most of which I haven't watched. I'm going to put that on my New Year's Resolution List -right between the "blog more" and "have painful dental work done" resolutions. We'll see which one of those comes true!

Those who found my site despite my apparent neglect made these three AMV's tops for the month of November: Protect Me took the number one spot (I'm sure Kurau would be proud.) Swept Away floated into second place, and the "We like Shiori " club must have convened and that's why Beautifully Broken came in third.

Okay, so I made yet another Marimite AMV. But officer, I couldn't help it! I was mugged by the OVA! And even though I didn't like the overall animation as much (I kept having flashbacks to the Stick Figure Theatre from MTV), it did redeem itself by the sheer amount of Yumi and Sachiko airtime. I'd had the song on tap for a while, wanting to make an AMV with it, and I hope you're not too overwhelmed with Marimititis to enjoy it!

On a non-yuri note, I must confess, I love my new Wii system and have spent time that I shouldn't be spending, playing on the darn thing. Daily. Relentlessly. Obsessively. I think you get the picture. And Dr. Phil gave these addicting things away to people- it was like passing out crack to his audience! They will be so busy playing, they will never watch his show again! DUUUH!

I think we could just end all wars by dropping Wii's and extension cords into the areas of unrest- within twenty minutes, Wii-motes will be flying about, knocking out terrorists left and right!

Back to yuri, as I feel I will not be getting a call to join the Chief of Staff at the White House... I promised a little Noir Christmas ditty. Since I lured you in and don't want to be sued for some "bait and switch" tactic, here it is:

11-01-06: 'Tis Wiivember, and time for a yuri update!

Another month arrives to find my blog still alive. I tried to have it euthanized, but internet activists picketed my mail server, so I relented. Perhaps soon the social webservices people will come take it away altogether due to neglect and place it in a blog foster home. One can only hope!

Yes, I confess- I am totally excited about the arrival of the Wii, so I am updating now before major distraction sets in mid-month, courtesy of Nintendo's wiimote. Hmmm..now if I could only invent a yurwiimote, my life would be complete. :)

Onward to business. Is everyone here? Ah yes, I see you both. Let's commence.
First up, additions to the collection: The Kannazuki DVD's are all now accounted for, as are all four of the Jubei Chan 2 series. Ikkitousen is now in its smarmy entirety, and a new Noir soundtrack CD has found its way home. It's practically raining yuri over here!

The top 3 AMV's for October were: Kakumei Love Song (must be a lot of Pink fans out there), then the latest, Swept Away, followed by the Hime hordes with My Pain.

Upcoming things: the elections, Black Friday, increased gas prices, and another AMV from me. Personally, I think the last one sounds the best, and I'm excited about it- I think people will really like this one, so hang in there!

And in closing, I once again bring proof that aliens are already among us- here are search words by which people stumbled onto the Area 51 of yuri......

10-2-06 A Yur-wii update!

Okay, let me take the rosary beads and go into blogging confession as it has been one month since my last blog post.... there, I feel better already.

As usual, real life remains busy, and the site gets updated as I have time. I really, really want to finish up Eclipse; unfortunately it takes longer to write than anything I've ever done. But I have a goal to reach the end by Christmas- let's see if I can do it.

The top 3 AMV's for the month of September were: My Pain (the Hime force is strong with this one), Love Song, and then the Marimite crowd piling into the back of the bus with Wanted.

No real Wii updates yet, I was at the GameStop today and they said maybe next week they will start taking deposits- they want to see how many units they're getting first. I think they want to avoid the 360 waitlist fiasco from last year. He told me lots of people are coming in and asking about the Wii, which is a good sign. They're only supposed to be getting 2-3 PS3's per store since Sony is having some sort of production problem. I'm not getting one anyway, but just in case someone else is interested, looks like it will be another year for parking lot mugging!

Back to yuri. I broke down and got the first two volumes of Kannazuki no Miko. One day I'll get around to ripping them, but right now, I don't have any more KNM AMV's in the works.

The forum really is a work in progress at this time, if you have any ideas for it or topics you'd like to see, please let me know! This forum is for you, not me- your yuri vote is important!

And now to that truly odd section of the human mind that goes onto the internet and searches- with keywords like the ones you see below. Yes, this is reality search tv- no one can make this stupid crap up!

9-4-06 The return of the blog and other scary things...

Well, I'm back, and in fine blogging shape (flexes mouse). So let us commence!

In the first order of things: I had a fabulous time in Japan and will definitely be returning there! I also took over 700 pictures, so do bear with me while I pare them down.

I will confess here and now that the first picture I took in Japan was of a toilet. Call it an anal fascination if you will, but something that plays music, makes diversion noises for your covert seated operations, and rinses/dries your hind end better than most dishwashers, is an object that requires at least a fleeting fancy. And so my septic saga was born- I traversed the land of latrines, making full use of my stall time. As to whether or not my seated research makes it onto my site remains to be seen, but trust me, this is not a field for the weak at heart (or knees, with all that squatting!) Also, it is not for those who don't carry tissue upon their person!

Moving on to anime-related things, I did aquire some yuri goodness when I wasn't in the bathroom, so it will be making its way onto the site!

As for state-side aquisitions, I did pick up volume 3 of the Hime series and I also got the entire Haibane Renmei set in the collector box for $20. Yes, I scored (bows). Gamestop was having a clearance sale. I really just went in to ask when the Wii release date was (I was told November 18th) and I spotted the CLEARANCE sign. The rest is history!

Looking at August, the top three AMV's on the site were: My Pain (to be expected), Yuripendence, and a sudden resurgance of interest brought Kakumei Love Song into third.

For those who don't read my little "News" snippet, I will really, truly, be putting up a forum. So stay tuned, because I want to do that this month, before my life goes into a total tailspin next month.

It's August! Which means I'm going to Japan soon. Very soon in fact, just a matter of hours. But since it seems there really are people that read this blog (and I'd like to thank both of you, lol) I'm doing a quick update.

No new aquisitions lately, I've been far too busy with family matters and work. Unless you want to count the weight I've gained from stress and eating chocolate, in which case, I've bested the stock market in gains there!

Ah, my beloved blog. Good thing it's not a Neopet or it would be dead by now, lol.

Let's see: for this month, the top 3 AMV's are: Goodbye, Valentine, and My Hime. I guess the YouTubers are coming over to download their favorites.

Speaking of YouTube, the top 3 most viewed AMV's over there are: Used, Cutie Couple, and Valentine. Blowing them all out of the water is my non-anime piece, Always. I have no plans at this time to make another non-animated music video (unless I can find another really bad Indian movie with hawt lesbians lol).

Some DVD acquisitions: the last two volumes of Loveless. Yes, that means an AMV will be coming using this footage. Volume 2 of My Hime is now nested in the collector box. I got some other stuff, but my short-term memory impairment forbids any further recall.

You may have noticed I mentioned going to Japan. I'm going in August, and will be gone for about two weeks (or less, if I'm deported, lol). Anyway, I'll take lots of pictures and put up a section about my trip when I return.

For some reason I have been unable to obtain a government grant to do research about correlations between yuri and the price of gas...perhaps I should have not requested that my assistants be naked?
Anyway, April is almost over and with that in mind, let us bow our heads and blog.
Top three AMV's for the month: The Marimite gang still rules with Wanted leading the pack. In close second is the latest, Beautifully Broken, and in a surprising third is Closer. Is there a sudden resurgance of interest in the Devil Lady series?
Speaking of series, I have now completed my series collection for Burst Angel, Madlax, and Witch Hunter Robin. I've also started My Hime with the boxset, and am half-way through Gankutsuou.
As I said in the News section, I've started the process of uploading my videos onto YouTube. It seems some people are doing it already, and this person did an entire AMV from all my AMV's- I was sort of mad at first, but I guess I should be flattered.....you can go see it here for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yy23-Fpw-o

4-5-06: Good news, bad news

First, the good news: I got a new PC (AMD dual core X2) that is way, way faster than the old one- so making AMV's just got easier!
Bad news: The onboard sound won't work. I ordered a new Turtle Beach soundcard and it will be here by April 18th, so no new AMV's for a while!
Of course this just means I have to concentrate on the fanfics more now :)

Other happenings: I've got a head cold as nasty as the firefight on the Normandy beaches in Call of Duty 2. Every time I cough it feels like someone hammers a nail into my head.....

Site happenings: Been sort of busy lately, but there are some new Chirality scans up. Once my head clears of snot and I can think again, it's back to the fanfic trenches. As for the top 3 AMV's in March, they were: Valentine, Wanted, and Yuriseed. Of note that so far this month, the ever-lasting Anything is back in third place again. This AMV is sort of like the Terminator...just when you think it's dead, it comes back, lol.

Of course I have to review some of the search phrases that brought people henceforth into my little yuri retreat, so here we go:

3-12-06: A New Tour of Fanfic and whatevers

Obviously I fail at blogging. It occurs at about the same rate as my period, lol. Anyway, I've been working on that Appleseed fic as promised, and it really will be finished soon, I just wanted to break it in a decent spot. (translation- there's more that I have not posted).

Well I didn't acquire much new yuri lately, but I did join the gym as I felt my life did not have enough physical pain. After several days where it hurt to do anything besides breathe, I was able to use the computer again and resume writing. Lesson learned: yuri is much more pleasant than sweating through lunges and wall squats and machines and omgjustletmedienow.

As for the top 3 AMV's in February: The awards go out to Valentine, Yuriseed, and Wanted, in that order. I was surprised that Appleseed outdid the better known (at least yuri-wise) series. I guess I'm not the only one that thinks Deunan is hot!

1-28-06 A little AMV and a little blogging

This AMV happened, as most of them do, quite by accident. I was thinking of putting up some more scans this month but a certain personal event in my life, that had me lose something I love, gave impetus for this little AMV. The whole piece was actually centered around the flame burning out. Nothing lasts forever; and so we move on.

Due to positive feedback I will start working on a forum again. However, time is at a premium due to a recent promotion that has made me the Director at the center where I work. I'm glad for it but also even busier than before, so I will do my best to still update the site twice a month, but only time will tell if this is possible.

Not too many new additions as of late. The latest Madlax, volume 6, is now at home here. As is a large 32 inch flatscreen LCD tv, so I can watch my comrades die in even better detail while playing Call of Duty 2 on my 360, lol. There's a pic of it here (with my Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 game from my Dreamcast) .

As for the top 3 AMV's on the site- Marimite leads the way with All I Really Wanted. Making a surprise leap into the number two spot is the little My Hime tribute to Natsuki and Shizuru. And the absolutely indefatigable Anything is entrenched in third.

For a little laugh, I have put in here the top three oddest search phrases that have led people to my site so far this month (and I don't want to know how that happened). Here they are:

1-12-06: Happy New Yuri Year!

I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays, I know I did mine. I got the latest Madlax DVD (volume 5) for Christmas, and I also picked up volume 3 of Kiddy Grade and Ikki Tousen. Of course I haven't had time to watch anything, but it's nice to know that the stockpile is there if needed!

The site has officially been up for one year now. Last January when I started the site, I had a total of 148 visitors for the month. Fast forward to this year. As of today, I've had 3,169 visitors so far this month, with over 30 gigs of AMV's downloaded. Quite a leap! So I want to say thanks to the yuri community for your support, and I hope to be making more yuri goodness for a long time.

As for the most popular AMV's on the site- for last month, here's how it went: Used was leading the pack until my new Marimite AMV was released, which blew by it in the last few days before Christmas. So for December, the top three AMV's were: All I Wanted, Used, and Kakumei Love Song. The die-hard Anything finished a close fourth.
Strangely enough, this month has seen the old one-minute My Hime AMV shoot up into second, with the resolute Anything back in third. I'm guessing the Otome series has generated the Shizuru/Natsuki revival. (Please Natsuki, this time return the luv).

12-20-05: Have a Merry Marimite Christmas!

Ending the year on a positive note is my latest AMV with Sachiko and Yumi. I hope you like it. Sorry more has not been done with the site lately, but at least I traded in my Xbox 360 addiction for more seasonal endeavors. The week after Christmas is going to be nighmarishly busy (I have jury duty on top of everything else) so updates may be delayed yet again.

Hmmm...what's been added to the collection lately- well you've seen some new stuff in the Gallery. I also got the DVD of Plastic Little, I found it really cheap at a used CD store. I upgraded my primary HD to a 160 gig drive, and got a dual-layer DVD burner, so my tech specs are in better shape. I also got some more Witch Hunter Robin DVD's, not yuri-related but I really liked the show.

As for what AMV's are popular this month, Used leads the pack by far, with Love Song and Anything fighting it out for second place. I'm amazed at how well Anything holds its ground every month. There must be a lot of Kannazuki fans out there!

Well, the holidays are upon us, and the frantic shopping and wrapping is finally done. I was going to do more site updates but something else happened....
It's all Bill's fault that the site hasn't been updated! If the XBox 360 hadn't been unleashed, I'd still be working on my site instead of fighing alongside my comrades in Call of Duty 2, or swinging around the Jungle in King Kong. So my apologies to my Yuri Comrades- I really will get back to it all soon, and definitely before Christmas. REEEALLLLY!

Hope you like the pic of Vanessa and Madlax! I wanted to add the latest update to A Page Re-written, but time did not allow it (and I'm picky about where I break a story).
Anyway, the most popular AMV this month is the latest, Used, far outpacing the rest of the competition. After that comes Maybe, then Love Song and what seems to be the steady favorite, Anything.
The Thanksgiving pic I posted I got from the inside cover of the latest Madlax DVD, volume four. I just got that one this week and have been happily watching it. Also recently added to the collection: Najica Blitz Tactics (all three DVD's), Plastic Little, the third volume of Burst Angel (now I have all four so far) and the first volume of Gankutsuou. Okay, so Gankutsuou: Count of Monte Cristo isn't exactly yuri, but I love the animation of the series.
I know Najica was a panty-shot show, but it actually had a plot that made me care about the characters in the end. The DVD's are excellent quality and look great. Panties in lovely detail!
Sorry there's not more updates at the moment, it's gotten rather busy lately, and the only "anime time" I've had is watching the latest Madlax DVD while walking on the treadmill. Exciting, ne?
I am going to try and get one more AMV done before Christmas, but my December calendar is filling up faster that the forward compartments on the Titanic! So we'll see. I've got a song just burning in my head that I want to do a Battle Athletes AMV to, but if not this month, then next.

11-04-05: Another month, another AMV

These things are like flies, they're just everywhere! Seriously, I had two consecutive days off from work so I had time to make the latest AMV. The song was burning a hole in my head and this was a good way to get rid of it. I felt Uta-Kata had the sort of dark undertone that went through the music, plus the see-saw relationship of Ichika and Manatsu suited this perfectly. I tried to stick with two of the three themes in the show: the water and the funky jewelry. I left out the locust that they kept passing (remember how Ichika freaked when she saw it had finally died). But locusts don't add much to a yuri AMV, so the little fellow didn't make the cut, lol.

I received my last Battle Athletes DVD and have officially finished the series. I liked Akari so much more in this one than in Victory. Kris was only disappointing in that she was not so obviously smitten with Akari- but still she managed to kiss her, so I gave her some snaps for that. And she looked really pretty at the end as a priestess! Needless to say, AMV material was found here. At some point I will add this in my reviews section.

Site stats for last month took a vacation (broken for two weeks) but it looked like Anything and Love Song were the top contenders until then. We'll see if Used can challenge Anything this month.

I got the latest Burst Angel DVD, and will probably get Madlax volume 4 soon. So many girls, so little time.....can it get any better?

I would tell what AMV I want to make next, but since the Muses run my life, and they are such whimsical beings, I have given up on promises. It will just happen. I have three songs churning right now, and that's all I can say at this point.

10-15-05: A new AMV

Obviously I have returned from my visit to New Jersey and my brief excursion to Onna. And obviously the Noir AMV I was going to make fell by the wayside after I heard the music for Maybe on Thursday. I've been wanting to do a Sol Bianca AMV for some time, but really hadn't thought of doing much other than letting the show make a cameo in a group AMV. Until I heard this song, and all that changed. Actually I only used half the song- k.d. was gracious enough to end the song at that point and start up again. Although I'm unaware of her musical reasons for doing so, I am truly grateful! It made it very easy to work with.
This is definitely an AMV where you do not need to know the show or the characters. I've made my own story with it and anyone can follow along.
This may turn out to be one of my personal favorites. I think the music suits the color and tempo of the AMV very well. I used the cards theme since the tarot cards had so much meaning for Feb, and ultimately for April, when Feb left her the Lovers card.
For those who would argue that they're not a canon couple, you are right. But you cannot argue the point that April became a useless pile of wuss without Feb, or that Feb didn't bawl her eyes out over April. And I like how the ending left things open for ventures into fanfiction. :)
I wouldn't suggest running out and buying this show. I've basically wrung the yuri out of it and made it into this AMV. Hmmm... maybe I should write up a quick review of it.

As of the moment, Anything still leads the way in the AMV downloads, followed by Kakumei Love Song. We'll see how long it takes Maybe to give these two a challenge.

I finally got around to watching the first two volumes of my Battle Athletes DVD's. I already reviewed the BA: Victory series so you know that I thought Akari was a whining annoyance. But here she seems to actually have a spine, which makes her far more likeable. Kris is still a serene flake, and I have to admit she did some things that had me lol. I think the animation quality took a definite nosedive from Victory, but after a while I got used to it. And there's definitely hints of lurv here, Anna comes right out and says that Akari must be in love with Kris.
I don't have the last volume yet, but once I've watched the whole thing, I'll put it up in my reviews area. It really stinks that there's only two episodes on each DVD. That's one reason I haven't been in a rush to finish the show.

SLAM #1: Where the hell is Madlax?
One answer I would give is that this story is about Vanessa's page, not Madlax's, so Vanessa is the central character here. The other answer is: On a mission, silly. She'll be back!
SLAM #2: OMG you did not just end it right there!!!
Yea, I did. More will be coming, promise. It just takes time to write it all down and then more stuff happens while I'm writing...these characters just start doing their own thing, and I try to keep up with them.
SLAM#3: Vanessa is so EMO I could puke....
Well her life has totally changed in a very short time. One week, to be exact. She's overwhelmed, and stands to lose friends and family over this, plus her own life is now in danger. Not to mention she's realized some things about her past life that she finds disturbing as well. So cut the poor lady a break here!

Now on to Return to Dreams, which I really did not want to end it where I did, but I simply ran out of time. I really wanted to break it in two more chapters but I just didn't get them finished, so next update I'll get them.

Before I go to Onna! on Thursday, I will post the latest updates on the site, promise! There will be more of A Page Re-written and for poor Kya who was dying of April/Feb deprivation, more of the Return to Dreams story is going up as well!

For the month of September, Love Song finally pulled ahead as the most popular AMV on the site. Making an unexpected return for second place was the Anything AMV, followed closely by the Madlax AMV.

Smoochie additions as of late:
Kiddy Grade DVD's, volumes 1,2,3,5, and 8. They came with collector cards, I will probably scan a few and post them.
I also was delighted to have delivered a new 250 gig external hard drive- my 160 was 90% full, so I wasn't going to make any more AMV's until I had space. As of the moment, my next planned (and the muses are whimsical, so plans may change) AMV will be dedicated to Noir. Even though there are lots of Noir AMV's out there (and some really good ones), none of them speak to me as to how I feel about the relationship of Mireille and Kirika, which is the only reason I'm making my own. A selfish reason, so we'll see how it turns out.

I really wanted to do more with the site today, my day "off"- but wound up taking care of apartment issues. For anyone considering being a landlord, be advised- it sucks! My last tenant's dog ate the new carpet... so in addition to cleaning and re-painting, now I'll be shelling out the bucks for new carpet. And all this for a tenant who didn't even stay two weeks.

Enough of the pity party, and onward. I'm looking forward to Onna!, and will of course be taking pictures and have a report when I return. I'm also going to be re-arranging the site so that Bakuten has a section all its own, as I will be posting more manga pix there in the future.

Just a quick update on why there isn't an update- I am working on a huge internet project for a friend (this site will be bigger than mine) and it's due next week, I am working 16 hour days right now and I just don't have time for anything not immediately work-related.
By next weekend I should have my life back, and my yuri-related activities will resume!

I'll confess right off that I've not done anything with the site, or for the site, since I made my last AMV. I've just been too busy working. I'm also currently helping a friend with an internet project for school, so her website has been getting my attention lately. You know she must be pretty desperate if she asked me to help her, lol. I am truly far removed from being a webmaster!
I have watched a little anime here and there as I've waited to fall asleep at night, so here's a few quick thoughts on what I've seen recently:

Battle Athletes: Ready! (2 episode VHS, dubbed). This is the middle part of the 6 part OVA. I own the complete Victory series on DVD, so this caught my interest. I have to say Akari is not as annoying in this one, she actually seems to have a spine. Kris is cool as always. The best part is in ep 4 when Kris gets naked and gives Akari a massage. Akari, you lucky twit! And to think you asked Kris to please put her clothes back on.....
There doesn't seem to be any sign of Ichino in this one, which is okay by me because I'm always rooting for Kris anyway, lol. Mylandah is evil, but only in a sneaky way. I liked her "in-your-face" intimidation tactics better. Anna is truly full of surprises in this one, I won't spoil it any further than that. Lahrri is still as competitive as ever, but her hair- it looks like she got it caught in a laminator! That girl needs a serious cosmo beauty make-over!
This was tempting enough that I might get it on DVD. Now I want to see how it ends. If I do watch any more of it, I'll probably write a review in my bizarre review section.

I also had the misfortune to watch the DVD of Vandread: The Second Stage (Final Assault). Ah, how aptly named. Dread is exactly how I would feel if I had to watch any more of this. I watched it subbed. It seemed to be the last 3 episodes in the series, judging by the number of explosions and erstwhile space fireworks in the last episode. Impassioned speeches and Gonzo mecha- I had enough after three episodes. The only interesting character was the trans-gendered creature with the retro genie outfit. You go girl!

Well, originally I had a much longer post, but when I went to preview it, Blogger ate it. And I don't feel like typing it all out again now. So I'll just end with this: if there's something you can do to help people recover from the tragic loss sustained from hurricane Katrina- do it.

8-26-05 Some good news, some sad news

Since good news is what people like best, I'll start with that. I went to Otakon last weekend and had a blast. Many new things have come into my house, some of which will appear (via scan or AMV) on my site. DVD yummies: I got volume three of Madlax (with all the Vanessa/Madlax goodness), the second volume of Bakuretsu Tenshi (Burst Angel) and the Appleseed movie.
Manga/comic/book goodness: Chirality, and lots of it. Somehow Pretty Cure got in there too (for my niece! Really!)
Thing I wanted most but didn't get: The Xenosaga art book. Some nice Shion and Kos-Mos pictures in there!
I drove a dealer crazy by repeatedly looking through his two Battle Athletes art books, but finally let them be and left them for someone else to fondle.
Thing I'm glad I didn't get: The Madlax art book. No, I repeat, NO pictures of Vanessa/Madlax together anywhere I looked in that book. Either Madlax was by herself or with Margaret. Shame!
I also stopped by the Yuricon table and bought stuff. I got to meet Erica and her gang, they are all great people! Now I'm looking forward to going to Onna! even more.

As you may have noticed, I have a new AMV up on my site. As usual, this was not planned. This AMV was made during a period of intense grief following my grandmother's death. I had to do something to distract myself, but it had to be something that didn't require a great deal of concentration. I made this AMV in two days, and it probably shows. The song is sort of sad and hopeful at the same time, which is how I felt about her death. Sad, but when I saw her at the funeral home, she looked to be truly at peace. Peace was something she had not known for the last two years. So grandma, I just want to say thank you for always being there for me, and this AMV is dedicated to you.

Well, it's purely the fault of the latest Bakuten manga and Otakon running this weekend that I can't sleep. I've hereby declared a new sleep disorder caused by excitement over anime, as you see in the title above.
I wonder what loss of sleep over yuri should be called. Insomniyuria? Sounds more like an infection that's painful when you pee. Ouch! And what would lack of yuri in your life be called? Anemiyuria? Can you see going to the doctor and being diagnosed with that... although I think I like what it would take to cure it, lol.
Hmmm.... other yuri terms:
Yurititis: an allergic reaction to yuri. The only known cure is a massive de-sensitization program (evil laugh).
Agriyuriobia: Fear of yuri in public places.
Yuribation: The use of yuri to "relieve stress".
Yuritivity: The theory that two girls squared is sexy.
YDD: Yuri Deficit Disorder- unable to think of anything besides yuri. As if that were some sort of problem....

I shall stop before it gets any worse and attempt to sleep again. I'm bringing my camera to Otakon, I'll probably post a little report on it later. In the meantime, everyone have a happy yuri day!

8-14-05: Summer slips by.....

First off, I want to thank everyone who has written in my guestbook or contacted me. Thanks for your encouragement and as soon as I hit the lottery, I promise to retire from regular work and devote my time to yuri!
Unfortunately, I am still working for a living, and as I have four different jobs right now, plus some private projects, I am horrendously busy. My "vacation" was a working one, replete with children. I have so much more of Eclipse I want to write, but my time is so limited, it's truly frustrating. (Bangs head against cyber-wall).
If you're reading this, and are still awake, I'm looking for input as to what sorts of things you would like to see in a forum, topic-wise. I have some ideas but I want it to be a place that people truly enjoy, and that might just make them think a bit too. So let me know your ideas!
I've got more AMV ideas stewing about, but again, no time. I was trying to make a new one to enter at Onna! but it may not happen at this rate. I'm excited about going to Onna!, so if you have some time that weekend, see if you can get there too!
That's it, I have to go to work this afternoon, the thing about working for yourself is you work all the time- no one is going to give you any paid time off, sick time, or anything else. Just remember that next time you want to tell your boss to shove it- if you walk out that door, you had better be prepared to hustle and take care of yourself. I'm on call at four facilities, plus doing private computer work for people and companies, and it takes a lot of time rounding up work, getting it done, re-done, and getting paid. But the upside is, if I need a week to go do something (like help my brother move across the country) I can do it- I just have to really crack back down when I return.
So one piece of thought I will dispense here: no one owes you anything. Not your parents, not your friends, not the government. Get out there and do it yourself. Whenever I've run across really miserable people, they seem to think it's someone else's job to help them, not their own. They have lots of excuses as to why their life is the way it is, but amazingly enough, they are not on the list! Your life is your responsibility, and it's up to you to manage and market yourself to the world. And now, I will remove the soapbox and step down. Sorry about the rant, it's just a passing thought today.

Nothing up new yet because I've been doing all sorts of things, and none of them finished!
I've done some scans of the first two volumes of Bakuretsu Tenshi but haven't got them ready to post yet. There will be a section just devoted to Jo- er, Bakuten. Okay, just Jo and Meg, and then just Jo. I'm a Jo fangirl, I confess!
Also, I'm working on a My Hime AMV, it's close to being done and I think within the next week or so it will be up.
And how about that Noir fic? Well, see above. Also blame the nice weather, and my friends for dragging me out to concerts and ballgames over the weekend. How dare they rouse me from this seat and make me go have a life and some fun!
I also started to make a forum, which took a lot of time and I'm scared to death to actually put it up, because then I will have to take care of it. I'll probably get lucky and no one will post or have any problems with it, because I truly have very little idea of what I'm doing. :)

I'm off to work so this is just a quick note of apology, I took quite a hit from being linked over at Yuri studios. Supposedly my AMV's she picked will be hosted over there and the direct download link to my site removed, but in the meantime, I'll just have to keep a closer eye on my bandwidth useage (which, with my host, is not easy to do- they said they sent me four e-mails, and I never got anything). So I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for the next few days. If need be, I will take a look at upgrading or changing my hosting so this doesn't happen again. Currently I'm allowed 10 gigs per day and I went over the limit, so they shut me down.
This doesn't mean that the AMV's are going off my site; I will still host them. And there will be more AMV's coming, just like when you put two bunnies together of the opposite gender... :)

6-3-05: Eclipse , May, and Moi

Well as of today I'm another year older. That I'm anything else, such as wiser, remains debatable. But there is one thing on which I have no doubts at all; and that is starting this site. The wonderful feedback I've received, and the joy of creation in making the works on here, has made this a positive experience for me.
It seems the Kannazuki Anything AMV gave way to Switch as the hottest ticket on the site during the month of May. It will be interesting to see whether an AMV or the Noir fic pulls in front for the month of June.
Speaking of that Noir fic: Eclipse will be the Noir movie that I'll never get to make. When I'm done with this, I will be done with Noir. I approached this project as if it were a film; before I ever wrote one thing, I started planning. I had to plan around certain scenes and key elements that were to be used. I had to plan where chapters (just like a movie DVD) would break. I reviewed my characters and their motives- because their motives drive their dialogue and actions. The characters should be so defined, that just their dialogue alone reveals their personality. We are all human; but it is our expression that makes us individuals.
One thing I admired so much about the series was that it didn't waste the screen time it had; every scene had a purpose. I've attempted to do the same here- create a world where every paragraph matters. Hopefully I will succeed, and you will enjoy the ride into darkness known as Eclipse.

I have already started on the Noir sequel, Eclipse. I will post this up in chapters just like the last story, but I am going to wait till I have a good bit of it done. I'm still working on a storyboard, so to speak, of how things will go on this one. I wish I could make the movie, but instead I'll just have to write it. Ah, to have one's own anime studio... (closes her eyes and dreams).
I've also written a bit more on the Madlax fic, just not enough to post yet. But it's not been forgotten!
I have some more AMV's in mind, there will be one devoted entirely to Noir, and another one that will have both Noir and Sol Bianca (and maybe more) in it. Of course, as always, other ones happen that are totally unplanned, like the Switch one, so who knows really what will pop up next!
I'm also going to be re-encoding some of the AMV's in MPEG2 format, so they will look nicer on playback. I will keep the original format up for those who want smaller files.
On a personal note, I registered for Otakon, and will be happily attending this year sans children, so I think I'm going to get a chance to really enjoy it! If I find anything fascinating, I'll report on it here!

5-12-05: Tepid Thursday and another AMV

I know it's been a while since I did anything here and I apologize, but work has been very busy. Then yesterday I was stricken with a sudden head cold and stayed home- thus this AMV was made while I was brain-dead and too miserable to sleep. It was, literally, a one-day "affair".
For those who don't already know, the footage is from Kurau: Phantom Memory. And for those who do know the show, yes, I know Christmas is Kurau's pair and sorry for leaving her out of this, but I like Ayaka and Kurau together :)
I wanted to do a Kurau piece ever since I heard this music. It's just got an "agent" feel to it. I also really grew to like Ayaka's character, as you watch her attitude toward Kurau change, and as she discovers the lies that surround her... she's an interesting person to me. Ayaka wants to do the right thing- and in the end, she realizes the right thing means ditching the GPO.
For those incensed that Christmas didn't get her air time, relax, she will in the future. This won't be my last use of the series!

The Kannazuki AMV- "What was she thinking?"

Now...why this song?
Because once you take out the mechas and Orochi, what you have is two girls who are "wierded out" by how they feel. Add in Orochi, and you have "ordinary" mikos in the sense that the cycle was thought to just repeat as always...except that Chikane refused to walk inside those lines and broke out of it.
"Is it enough to die" and "somebody save my life" is just so much himeko and chikane's "miko dilemma" that I felt it worked well. In the end, they were not ordinary mikos, and not ordinary girls.
Also the part "knock me off my feet". Here you have Chikane, the princess with everything, and she's floored by no-name, ordinary Himeko. Everything else Chikane does she handles with grace and flair- except for her relationship with Himeko. Actually they both cause each other pain, but love is awkward and can hurt at times, and if we're lucky, we get the happy ending they had.

4-25-05 It's a MIKO MONDAY!

At last! My Kannazuki no Miko AMV is done, and I'll be able to get some sleep, something I haven't done in the last three days because I've been working on this like a woman possessed.
This video took more to make than I ever imagined. Not just in terms of time, but sheer aggravation. All the raws I painstakingly downloaded, would not open in Virtual Dub until I could find and locate some plugin that would take the audio format (and then I had to strip out the audio for the clips, go figure.) Some of them I still had to re-convert into AVI format again just to get them to load...a total annoyance. Finally I started the project in Pinnacle; my computer crashed while I was out, and I hadn't saved anything...thereby giving myself the large headache of having to start all over. (I'm one of those people that never turns off her PC). After becoming frustrated with the learning curve (baka is in my name for a reason) I gave up on Pinnacle and went back to my old video editing program that is easier to use, thereby starting over yet again. There were other smaller issues as well, that involved re-encoding and tossing out scenes that would not render properly and then find new ones. Not to mention I've been working quite a bit lately and time to make AMV's has seriously decreased.
I would like to thank the people over at #lililicious who helped me beta test this AMV and gave me helpful feedback so I could make changes. The last few days have been spent doing just that.
I hope people like the music I used, I just had to use it because it seemed to fit so perfectly to what was going on in the series, in fact I would have not made the AMV if I hadn't heard the song first!

I knew I was going to be busy when I started my new job, but other things have kept me busy as well. I went belly dancing with a friend for her birthday, and made a new friend there that I saw over the weekend for her birthday bash at an awesome Morrocan resturant that had a live band and everyone was dancing. So I confess, I've been going out and enjoying myself instead of sitting in front of the computer lately, the weather has been so pleasant . I went to the beach for a bit today as well. I try to balance my work, school and play time, and my website falls somewhere in-between. I work for myself as well as a other people, so even when I am home, I usually have projects lined up to do. I wish I could find a way to forego sleep, it seems such an absolute waste of time! When I went out Saturday night, I didn't get home till 4AM, then I had to get up again at 7AM to work....I worked all day Sunday and then was too tired to work on the site because I was sleepy, darnit, why does the human body need sleep so much?
That being said, I haven't forsaken any of the work on the site, and I will finish my Noir fic and get the KNM video done, I went to dinner with my folks last night and had my dad bring me the bonus effects disk for Pinnacle so I can tweak stuff some more.
That's the latest brief update, I'm going to go do my E-bay listings now (yet another sideline job that I do for people) and hopefully will have more time later to get back to the website stuff, which is far more interesting anyday!

I'm sorry I haven't added more to the site lately, hopefully I will get a chance to catch up on things this weekend. I've started a new job, still have school, and last weekend went to Philly to see an awesome japanese cherry blossom festival. (I may put up a page and pix about it on the site). I drank some fierce sake too- it totally cleared my sinuses!
I've written more of the Noir fic but it's not ready to post. I've also been working on the Kannazuki AMV. I'm using Pinnacle to make this AMV, so it's going more slowly as I have to learn the software.

4-4-05: My Hime Monday!

Somehow I wound up making a My-Hime AMV last night. I had absolutely no intention of doing so- I was supposed to finish my Noir fic, but then this just happened.
I love this little piece of music- it has a lot of wind and openess to it, and also a sense of waiting... something I tried to convey in the AMV. Part of Natsuki's strength is Shizuru; and Natsuki is definitely Shizuru's weakness. Love can be like that, and I wanted to show that in the video. Also the part where Natsuki is staring into the red ocean...Shizuru's eyes are the same liquid red. That's why that scene is there.
Because of the wind of the music, I used the scenes of wind in their hair, and waiting. Love involves patience. And in the end, patience is rewarded.
That's it, I'm off to the Orioles opening day baseball game, so I don't know how much more writing I'll get done tonight but I really want to finish the story soon. Kirika is getting very impatient with me over here!

4-2-05: For those reading the Noir story...

I was asked where the quote at the end of page 11 came from. I got it from episode 18 of Noir, from when Mireille was reading out loud from the copy pages that Kirika had given her. This was from the fansub; the DVD version may be a bit different, although I hope not, for I like it the way it is.

4-1-05 Freaky Friday....

Today was spent digging a long ditch in the back yard in hopes of preventing future basement flooding, and filling in all the holes dug along the side of the house by the pit bull- which definitely was contributing to the flooding.
The Noir story is coming down to the wire, and once my hands uncurl from the shovel position they've held the last few hours, I will resume.
I'm still waiting in my bootleg Yami Bo and Kannazuki DVD's to come. (sighs) Whose idea was it to make Hong Kong so far away.....

Thought for the day: What did cavewomen do before chocolate? PMS must have really been rough then. Stuck in some damp cave, nobody's had a bath since birth, dead animal crap all around...and NO CHOCOLATE.

I worked on the Noir story last night and will do more today! It's really coming together and I'm down to the last few pages. It's funny, I know in general what's supposed to happen, but then while I'm writing, suddenly my character will do something else, just like she's got a mind of her own! (Like Mirielle and that dangerous spatula). So I have to go with it, and the story just gets to be a little longer.
I never have to sit and "think" of a story idea; if anything, I feel more just like a scribe writing it all down as it happens. I wonder if anyone else feels that way.

3-28-05: For those reading my Noir fic, I promise to finish it this week! I know how it all ends, I just have to discipline myself to finish it. I have great admiration for writers; indeed, I find it very difficult to sit there, concentrating and typing, for any great length of time.

As for the subject of writing itself: There is a wonderful book, written long ago, that I find inspirational for writing. It's called If You Want To Write by Brenda Ueland. Actually, it's inspirational for far more than writing, which is why it is so wonderful. I would advise this book to anyone who wants to write, or anyone who wants to live their life to the fullest, for that matter.

On another note, I am going to be installing and trying some new video editing software this week. If all goes well, I will then use it for the Kannazuki AMV.

3-26-05: Well I'm not going to be dispersing any mood emoticons or posting any food recipes here, but I will keep those interested updated as to what's in the works for the site.

On that note, I started working on the KnM AMV yesterday. Today, unfortunately, my PC crashed and I lost most of the work. I took it as a sign that I should do something else for a bit. Disregarding the raws, I decided to order the HK DVD off E-Bay, and will resume work on the AMV again in a week or so when it gets here. In the meantime, I'll add more areas to this site and try to straighten out the closet known as the "stuff" section. It would be nice if people had something to do besides twiddle their thumbs while waiting for the AMV's to download. :)

Long-term, I have lots of AMV's I want to do; I have some parodies I'd like to make and once I learn Macromedia Flash, get ready for the insanity of The Pink Oink Box. It's something you will just have to see for yourself. In the meantime, I will also finish up the fanfics I've started. I'd like to thank everyone for being so patient, this really just started as a lark but the responses I've gotten have been so positive and encouraging, it makes me want to do more. Whether that's a good thing or not remains to be seen, lol.
